Photos, videos and documents: managing property media

Good photos sell properties. Tesoro lets you upload multiple images per listing, embed videos from YouTube or Vimeo, link virtual tours and generate PDF brochures with one click.

When do you use this?

• A photographer delivers 25 photos, you upload them with drag-and-drop
• You want to link a Matterport 3D tour to a new-build project
• A buyer asks for a PDF brochure that you personalize with your details

What can you do with this?

• Photos upload, reorder, delete, first photo becomes the cover photo
• Videos embed from YouTube or Vimeo

Uploading photos

1. Open the property in Properties (click the row). You land on the View page /properties/{id}/view.
2. Click Edit at the top right. The URL becomes /properties/{id}/edit.
3. Scroll to Add Image.
4. Drag-and-drop in the zone “Drop your images here or browse” (or click to select files). Multiple at once is allowed.
5. Wait until the uploads are complete; each image goes directly to the server.
6. Click Save at the top right to save all changes together.

Under 5 MB works faster

Although 50 MB is allowed, photos under 5 MB load noticeably faster, better for your website and portals. Modern phones and cameras produce 2–10 MB by default.

Managing photos

• Reorder: drag them. First photo = cover photo in list, header, portals, brochure, website
• Delete: click the delete action on a photo

First = cover everywhere

The order is saved. Position 1 = thumbnail in the property list + detail header + cover on MLS portals + Client Portal + PDF.

Where the photos appear

• Property list (thumbnail) • Property detail gallery • Your website • MLS portals (Kyero, Idealista, Fotocasa, …) • PDF brochures • Client Portal

Watermark

Auto-watermark configurable by the admin via Settings → Company Settings → Watermark:

• Position: location on the image
• Platform: the context in which it is applied
• Opacity: transparency

Adding a video (YouTube / Vimeo)

No direct upload; you link to a hosted video.

1. Open the property in edit mode, scroll to Video.
2. Choose Platform: YouTube or Vimeo.
3. Paste the Video Link (valid URL, starting with https://).
4. Save.

Clearing

Clear the URL and empty the Platform dropdown; the video is disconnected.

Virtual tour (External Link)

For project properties there is an extra field below the description: External Link (technically: virtual_tour_url).

Paste the link to your Matterport 360° tour, Floorfy or similar here. It appears on your website below the property description.

Only via the project view

This field is currently only available when you edit a property through a project (Projects → open project → edit property). Not in the standard standalone property edit form.

Documents and attachments

Managed via the Connections & Attachments tab in view mode (not edit mode).

1. Open the property (view mode, not edit).
2. Click the Connections & Attachments tab.
3. Upload or view attachments.

Attachments can be: floor plans, purchase contracts, inspection reports, property deeds.

Downloading multiple files at once as a zip

Do you need all the documents or photos of a property? Then download them all at once as a zip file.

1. Click Download zip (…). The number of files is shown in brackets. You will find the button above the attachment list on the Connections & Attachments tab. On the property’s photo collage, the same function appears as a small archive icon next to the number of photos.
2. A side panel opens. All files are already selected. Uncheck what you do not need, or use Select all. Use the eye icon to view a file first.
3. Click Download zip (…) at the top right. Tesoro creates the zip file and your browser downloads it.

Limits of a single zip file

A single zip file contains a maximum of 250 files and a total of 200 MB. If you have more than 250 files, the panel will tell you in advance. If a file no longer fits within 200 MB, Tesoro leaves it out. You will then see a notification with the number, for example 3 file(s) could not be included in the archive. Download the rest in a second zip.

The same Download zip (…) button also appears on the attachments tab of contacts, leads, deals and relations, and with the files of a project.

Generating PDF brochures

1. Open the property in view mode.
2. Click the PDF or Handout button in the detail view.
3. A dialog opens with the available templates.
4. (Optional) Choose an agent in the dropdown at the top; the brochure is personalized with their details.
5. Click the download icon → the PDF opens in a new tab.

No templates visible?

Templates are configured by your administrator in Settings → PDF Templates. No templates? Ask your admin to set one up.

Meta images: for social sharing

In addition to regular photos, Tesoro supports meta images (Open Graph) for e.g. Facebook or LinkedIn thumbnails. Managed via the SEO and Social Media tab on the detail page, separate photos for share previews.

Common mistakes

Upload failed

Check: file < 50 MB? Format JPG/PNG/GIF/WebP? On a timeout: refresh the page and try again; slow connection + large file = problematic.

Video link shows a validation error

The URL must start with https:// and be complete. Shortened links or just video IDs are not accepted by the system.

Photos not visible on the website

Check in order: (1) Show on Website on? (2) Status one of Active/Under Offer/Reserved/Sold? (3) Photos uploaded and saved? Caching may also play a role.

Watermark does not appear

All three Watermark settings (Position, Platform, Opacity) must be configured. Ask your admin.

Five practical tips

• Best photo first: it becomes the cover everywhere
• Capture every room: living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, terrace, garden
• At least one exterior photo: entrance or street view
• Daylight + open curtains: dark or blurry photos do not sell
• Video 2-3 minutes: short and to the point, otherwise the viewer drops off
